The modern method of floor welding

The latest generation of LEISTER hot-air welding machines will be on the market from summer 2002. The first of these will be the UNIFLOOR hot-air welding machine. Those who known know UNIFLOOR’s predecessor – the Universal, will not fail to notice the new design. UNIFLOOR presents itself as straightforward and yet extremely user-friendly, compact and containing various additional transparent functions. The new design finds expression where it is really important for the user. The operator’s controls, for example, are all linear and clearly visible, placed on a single level, so that all settings can be quickly and simply made using potentiometers. This is particularly relevant to the digital display for welding speed and temperature and is logically extended to the continuous air volume setting. Another result of consistently surveying customers and developmental work is the flexible wall cut-off switch, new to the UNIFLOOR. In contrast to the Universal, the new cut-off switch reacts at any approach angle therefore increasing the dependability of the results. A new feature is the integrated automated drive, which is switchable to manual operation. Something else, which should please the experienced floor welder, is the new ball-jointed lifting device without wheels. This means all floor coverings may be welded without reconfiguration. All these innovations and labour-saving features were achieved through intensive research and construction site tests, with an unchanged ideal total weight of just 14 kg.
