The new LHS air heater family or “the new air heater generation”
LHS stands for Leister Heat Source. The modular construction air heaters are available in the power range of 1 to 16 kW in three device sizes. Their different electronic design distinguishes the three lines LHS CLASSIC, LHS PREMIUM and LHS SYSTEM. All three are compatible with the existing blower and nozzle range from Leister. Device and heating element protection, as well as an alarm output for process monitoring are integrated as standard. In order that the air heater suffers no damage, for example if the air supply is interrupted, the heating element protection automatically switches off the device in the event of overheating. The new air heaters are also convincing on account of their high performance with small dimensions.
The LHS CLASSIC air heaters are used where temperature regulation is not necessary, but a constant output is always required. The devices in the LHS PREMIUM line, on the other hand, include an integrated temperature probe, temperature regulation and power electronics. The potentiometer sleeplessly adjusts temperature up to 700ºC. The temperature remains constant with high precision, even with changes in the ambient temperature and air flow fluctuations. Processes can be very quickly adjusted, optimise or matched to new conditions. An upgrade to the LHS-SYSTEM line is possible at any time.
The highly integrated and easy-to-operate LHS SYSTEM line air heaters leave no wishes unfulfilled. They are externally configured and monitored via the LEISTER bus. As with the PREMIUM line, they include a probe, temperature regulation and power electronics. Either one (TSS Terminal Single Source) or up to 15 air heaters (TMS Terminal Multi Source) are simultaneously controlled with their respective operating units. The target temperature is set and actual temperature displayed on the operating units. They allow all the control parameters to be individually selected for each device.
Easy to start operating
The LHS SYSTEM line air heaters can also be connected to an interface adapter, either simply to a PLC or a central controller. This means that all common industrial interfaces are supported. The user needs no special knowledge to start operating the system: The new LHS SYSTEM components are designed for plug-and-play installation. This simplifies planning, installation and setting up the system and therefore saves time and money.
The Leister LHS air heaters are suitable for installation in machines, plant or instruments. They are designed for continuous operation.
