Internship/Master Thesis - MEMS based Infrared Source

Your duties

  • Characterization of the electrical and thermal behavior of MEMS-based infrared sources (microelectromechanicalsystems), among other things by using thermography
  • FE modeling with COMSOL Multiphysics: static/dynamic simulation of the electrical, thermal, mechanical and optical behavior of novel infrared sources
  • Conceptual design, realization and documentation of measurement setups
  • Construction and assembly of test samples, including wire bonding

Your profile

  • Master student ETH/EPFL in physics or engineering sciences
  • (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, microsystems technology)
  • Initial experience in the field of microtechnology is an advantage
  • Systematic working method, initiative and solution orientation
  • Very good German and/or English skills
