1) riguardante l’articolo 1502 del Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act). Il Dodd-Frank Act fa menzione specificamente di coltan, oro, tantalio, tungsteno e stagno nonché dei loro derivati, estratti dalle fonti di cui sopra.

Proposition 65

The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 was initiated to protect the state's drinking water sources from being contaminated with chemicals known to cause harm to humans & animals. Its purpose is to alert consumers in California of items which may pose a risk of cancer or birth defects. This regulation primarily affects retail businesses, but also affects other businesses that may deal directly with consumers and producers of consumer products. It is not illegal to have a listed substance in a product, but business owners and product manufacturers have an obligation to label the item according to the new Proposition 65 regulations (also known as Prop 65).

Leister values relationships with our business partners and makes every effort to comply with all laws and regulations. Therefore, we have reviewed and analyzed our products to ensure all are in accordance with Prop 65 and made necessary changes to our labelling to ensure that we are in full compliance. Some Leister products may contain Carbon black, Lead and Nickel which are on the Prop 65 list of substances which are found in our stainless-steel metals and some of our electrical components. Labels will be affixed to the product or external packaging of products that have been identified to contain substances on the Prop 65 list. These warnings will only be placed on products containing Prop 65 substances. You will also see the warning statement on packing slips, invoices, quotations, and on our website.

If you or your company is a reseller and placing or distributing Prop 65 substances in the State of California, then you must place a Prop 65 Warning label on your product and work with your retailer or customer on how the warning will be displayed or communicated to the citizens of California. Such action will limit your exposure to special interest groups and individuals that might take legal action for violation of Prop 65.

LEISTER will continue to work closely with our customers on ensuring communication of substance information is made available for products in the California consumer market. If you have any questions regarding our products and our Proposition 65 compliance, we encourage you to contact our Customer Service or Sales group for assistance.
