Development Engineer Sensor Technologies | Mechanical

Your main tasks:

  • Development of high-precision gas sensors in the field of laser gas detection
  • Creation of modular sensor solution concepts (optomechanics) using system engineering methods
  • Conception, development and realization of innovative, high-quality product developments in mechanical engineering and sensor design
  • Develop industrial, innovative design solutions, including their system specification, design calculations of drift, tolerances and reliability
  • Creation of 3-D CAD models and 2-D drawings with Solid Edge
  • Technical support in supplier management in cooperation with strategic purchasing, sampling with the quality department as well as root cause analysis for complex issues
  • support of the manufacturing department in the construction and testing of production samples and prototypes
  • Cross-functional collaboration with internal specialists such as microtechnologists, physicists and electrical and design engineers.

 

Your profile:

  • Master's degree or university degree in mechanical engineering (mechatronics), sensor technology, microsystems technology or precision mechanics
  • proven knowledge in the creation of complex, precise mechanical assemblies
  • professional experience in the industrial development of sensor systems is an advantage
  • good knowledge of German and English required
  • pleasant manners as well as reliable, responsible and structured personality
