Development Engineer Laser Technology and Sensors

To strengthen our Business Line Laser Plastic Welding of Leister Technologies AG we are looking for a project-oriented and top-motivated personality with a high level of personal responsibility.

 

Your Tasks

  • Product development in the field of laser technology and sensor technology from the concept to pilot series production
  • Execution and documentation of device and system tests as well as their acceptances
  • Analysis & documentation of quality problems in production or at customer sites
  • Collaboration in the implementation of machine, low voltage, EMC and other relevant directives and standards as well as the preparation of necessary documents for CE certification
  • Design of electrical components for laser welding systems
  • Collaboration in the execution of patent research and support of patent applications
  • Support of customer project managers in customer-specific technical issues

 

Your Profile

  • Degree in applied optics / optical engineering / electrical engineering / mechatronics or comparable field with appropriate qualification level
  • Professional experience in industrial development of opto-electronic systems
  • Very good understanding of geometrical optics
  • Experience in design and calculation of optical components or design of optical systems. Practical experience with ZEMAX, OSLO, CODE V or comparable software desirable
  • Reading of electrical schematics and wiring of electronic components
  • Experience in the design of electrical systems
  • Experience in the implementation of the Machinery and Low Voltage Directive
  • Microsoft Office skills as well as good German and English language skills
