As a pioneer in hot air technology, we develop and manufacture the motors for our Leister welding machines ourselves. The Revolution: MICROdrive

MICROdrive is the world's smallest brushless blower motor in its class. Weighing only 85 grams and with a speed of up to 40,000 revolutions per minute, it offers maximum performance with minimal space requirements and is therefore ideal for industrial hand tools. Your benefits at a glance:

ECOdrive stands for robust performance and ecological responsibility.  

Instead of neodymium rotor magnets, which contain rare earth elements, Leister uses ferrite magnets in the manufacture of these brushless blower motors. This is a resource-saving solution that simplifies recycling and repair.

First Devices in Use – Consistent Expansion Planned

The new generation of motors is already being used in selected Leister welding machines. These include, among others, WELDPLAST 300 and WELDPLAST 600. In the next step, the new motors will also be integrated into other Leister devices such as TRIAC, HOT JET, VARIANT and VARIMAT. 

Leister's long-term goal is to gradually replace all blower motors in its devices with MICRO, ECO and POWERdrive motors. This creates a uniform, future-proof engine platform that ensures efficiency, sustainability and digital controllability across the entire product portfolio.
