Reliable Sealing for Complex Conditions
In 2025, units completed and facility moved toward full operation, Leister GEO tools performed the final sealing job there. To seal the reservoir’s geomembrane lining, two materials were used: HDPE for solid ground, and TPO on softer backfill. Contractors deployed Leister’s COMET 700 for HDPE welding and TWINNY T7 for TPO seams. Both machines were paired with LQS GEO, Leister’s data-recording system, to track seam quality and ensure documentation compliance.
Seam consistency, temperature control, and speed precision were essential on steep slopes and varying soil conditions. Leister’s lightweight and high-performing tools proved ideal for the task—delivering airtight welds and minimizing rework time, even under pressure.
Sealing Backed by Smart Data
With LQS GEO, project teams documented every weld. This traceability is key for critical infrastructure projects, where proof of performance and long-term reliability are non-negotiable.
Precision Backed by Local Service
In this complex environment, local support was also essential. Leister’s on-site partners ensured training, calibration, and service were available without delay—reinforcing the Swiss standard of quality through every meter welded.
