As an ICT specialist, you are a professional when it comes to the diverse and optimal use of various ICT tools. As an ICT specialist, you will have a broad basic education in information and communication technologies. You are an all-rounder and know your way around hardware and software issues as well as customer support. Whether you are creating user manuals and checklists, installing ICT end devices or ensuring smooth operation in existing network infrastructures - you skillfully apply your technical know-how and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Typical work

  • Installation and commissioning of PCs, tablets and cell phones.
  • Integration of peripheral devices such as printers or scanners into the network infrastructure.
  • Collaboration in support and assistance for users in handling ICT resources.
  • Analyzing IT problems and developing solutions in collaboration with other specialists.
  • Participation in ICT ordering and administration.
  • Supporting customers in the procurement of ICT devices.

Training duration

Basic vocational training as an ICT specialist EFZ takes three years.

Your training program will be adapted to the school's curriculum so that you can ideally combine theory and practice. At the end of your apprenticeship, you will be well equipped for the job market with a good education.
