You will learn how platforms are planned, built, and operated. Step by step, you will be trained in architecture, deployment, testability, and optimization, and gain practical experience. This will strengthen your problem-solving skills and prepare you to help shape the digital infrastructure of tomorrow.

What will you Learn as a Platform Developer with Us?

You will learn how modern IT platforms are planned, built, and operated—from API design and containerization to CI/CD and monitoring. Using the latest technologies, you will develop your own solutions as part of a team, automate processes, and gain practical experience in architecture, deployment, and performance. This will prepare you for challenging projects and enable you to play an active role in shaping the digital infrastructure of tomorrow.

The Following Tasks are Typical for this Apprenticeship:

  • Installing and commissioning PCs, tablets, and mobile phones
  • Developing and implementing backend components and APIs
  • Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployments
  • Operating and monitoring containers/platform services
  • Participating in client management
  • Documentation and teamwork

 

Requirements for Learning this Profession:

  • High school level A (or B with a high grade point average)
  • Independence, reliability, and a sense of responsibility
  • Basic understanding of operating systems and file systems
  • Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
  • Interest in continuous learning and new technologies
  • Analytical thinking and systematic problem-solving skills

 

Duration of Training

The basic vocational training as an IT specialist EFZ lasts 4 years.
