Learning That Goes Beyond the Manual
Each authorized Leister dealer has its own repair department staffed with a certified Leister technician. Every year, these technicians from across the U.S. gather in Itasca, IL, for intensive certification training. This year’s program took place September 10–12, 2025, led by Nick Bice, head repair technician of Leister US.
The training combines classroom instruction with hands-on practice. Technicians review the electronic and mechanical components of our machines at every level, from major systems to the tiniest components. During practical sessions, they fully disassemble and reassemble equipment, learning how to troubleshoot issues and apply the proper corrective actions. The week even concludes with a friendly competition to put their skills to the test. By the end of the program, each technician knows the machines inside and out and is prepared to handle any challenge that may arise.
As David Mason from Intech Equipment in San Bernardino, CA shared: “Having the knowledge of the newest autowelder helps me keep customers' equipment running and allows me to provide better service to my customers.” Adam Cummings from Roofers Mart in St. Louis, MO echoed the value of hands-on training, saying: “Getting hands-on experience learning the settings and programming, troubleshooting parts, and learning from the process of elimination has been very valuable to me.”
