Apprenticeships

Start Your Career Training at Leister. At the Leister Group, we place special importance on the education and development of young professionals. That’s why we offer exciting apprenticeship opportunities every year in a variety of professions in Switzerland and Germany.

What Does “Apprenticeship” Mean?

In Germany, Switzerland, and parts of other European countries, an apprenticeship is a well-established pathway into professional life. It combines two key elements:

Practical training in a company, where apprentices actively contribute from day one.
Theoretical education at a vocational school, where they gain the technical and theoretical foundations of their profession.

An apprenticeship typically lasts three to four years, leads to an officially recognized qualification, and serves as a direct entry into the professional world.

Why an apprenticeship at Leister?

Those who do their apprenticeship at Leister benefit from:

First work experience in a modern, international company.
Support from experienced and helpful colleagues who accompany professional and personal development.
Varied tasks that promote motivation, knowledge, and skills.
Exchange with other trainees who support each other.

Career Information Day at Leister

Every February, we host our Career Information Day at headquarters. On this day, young people—together with their parents or guardians—have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look and learn more about our apprenticeship programs.
