Subsidiary China

Leister has a long-standing presence in China. The market entry in China took place already in 1980 in cooperation with the sales partner from Hong Kong. In 1993 the first distributor was established in China. Since then, Leister has considerably expanded its coverage of the Chinese market with an extensive network of distributors and by founding its own company in 2004.

Leister China was founded in 2004 and, through its very up-to-date infrastructure, provides customers with sales and service for the entire Leister and Axetris product portfolio. Today it is also the center for the development and production of the "WELDYTM"-products. Leister China is ISO-certified and works in accordance with Leister Standards to ensure top quality. With additional branches in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Changsha as well as numerous agencies throughout China, Leister is always close at hand.

  • First Leister distributor with sales and service center in Hong Kong

1993

  • Leister exhibits at the China Plast trade show in Shanghai
  • Lirong Shanghai is the first local distributor to take over sales and service for Leister in China

2004

  • Foundation of Leister Technologies Ltd. and opening of the office in Shanghai
  • Start of local production of the "WELDYTM" product line

2009

  • Inauguration of the new laser laboratory in Shanghai

2010

  • Opening of new branches in Shenzhen, Chongqing and Chengdu

2012

  • Relocation in Shanghai to a new and larger location

2013

  • Start of local development of the "WELDYTM" product line
